End of year reflection...
My time here has ended at Hay Park, here is my end of year reflection I have made. It includes what I have learnt from a friend from over the year and how my learning has changed since we have been using Chromebooks in McCahon class. What I have mainly enjoyed here at Hay Park is all the opportunity's that are available here at our school. However I would not be were I am; in my learning if it wasn't for my teacher Mrs Kingston, she has been the best teacher I have ever had. I am going to miss you McCahon class next year.

Ako Hiko Launch...
Hi,
Bloggers from all over the world!
Tonight kids from Hay Park School have been chosen to represent Hay Park School in the Ako HIko Launch. We have been given an opportunity to build up our confidence with a special person named Andrew Patterson, we asked him questions that we were not that sure about. However in the end we got all our questions answered, we have been looking forward to this day ever since we got our notices, from our wonderful teachers that motivate us to come to school everyday!

Genius Hour: Reflection
Genius Hour: Reflection
- What?
I have been making a questionnaire for a professional event designer to answer as part as my project, however I am working on finding appropriate sites to get all of my factual information from. I am trying to get in contact with college event managers to see what the skills and techniques are, for when you are and event manager.
- So what?
I have been doing this project because it is part of our learning in class, we have been collaborating with May Road School on a project called Genius Hour.Genius Hour is a great way to share our thinking and learning in school, and to collaborate with others around us.
- Now what?
My goal for next time is to be able to get more research and be able to keep in touch with an event manager at all times, however I must make sure that I am ready for when it’s time to make our presentations in class.
This is my Reflection on my genius hour project at the moment Joshua and I are working on keeping in touch with a college event manager, and finding factual information about what skills are needed to be and event manager. By the end of the week I am hoping that we will be able to start our presentation, with high level vocab and punctuation in the texts.

Slam Poetry!
Slam Poetry!
Maybe you wanna be a netball player
Or even a Hockey player,
Intercepting
Until every single one of your opponents
are on the ground,
As you watch the crowd
very proud,
Scoring goals, reaching for gold,
Teamwork
It’s all you could possibly wish for!
In class this term we have been studdying poetry, this type of poetry is called slam poetry! What is slam poetry? A slam is a knock out performance poetry competition in which poets perform their own work to a time limit and are given scores based on content, style, delivery and level of audience response. This is my slam poetry about what I want to be when I'm older, as you can see every time a new sentence starts I make a new line. When I make new lines it make's the reader more interested in what I'm writing about, however if I have big long sentences the reader get's bored and stop's half way through!

Coding Progress...
This is my progress from code.org, I have improved alot since the first day I joined! I have been practising everyday and night. I have been enjoying myself every time I do codes, I always am trying to push myself really hard! I personally think that my next steps for coding is to finish off stage two and make it to stage seven!Maybe I could even maybe start looking at making my own game, or even starting up a gaming company!
Blog Commenting challenge!
In class we have been told to complete a commenting challenge, were we have to complete 3 comments from other schools, 3 comments from our own school and post 3 new blog post by the end of the week! So that you can go onto the second stage of your blog's look! I am so excited for the next stage of blinging my blog. Hopefully I can complete this challenge so that I can prove that I am not just doing this for a challenge but I am also doing this because I am a self managed learner.
