This term we have been learning about Marine Habitats.
I have been learning about the Harbor Seal.
Three cool facts I learnt:
- Harbor Seals can weigh up to 300 pounds.
- Harbor Seals are called pinnipeds because they have flippers instead of feet.
- Harbor Seals are mostly found on the shore of California.
Hola Carleece!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that creatures that have flippers instead of feet are called pinnipeds!
What does 300pounds equal in kilograms?

ReplyDeleteI have learnt three interesting and amazing facts about Harbour Seals. I agree with Mrs Kingston, about when you said creatures that have flippers instead of feet are called pinnipeds. That gave me a shock when I read that. I hope I see more interesting facts on your blog. Keep up the great work! :D
Hi Mrs Kingston,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great comment, 300 pounds in kilograms is 136.07771. Did you know that Harbor Seals spend most of there time under water and are mostly found on the coast of California? What animal are you studying Mrs Kingston?
