Learning to code: Reflection

This week we have been learning to use code, we have been using code because it's great for problem solving however also that we understand what happens when we are playing games. Coding can also help you with your probleming solving when doing maths! What was my reflection about after I had a go on coding?

What?

I have been learning to code using http://learn.code.org/. It has loads of levels to challenge  yourself, it makes you feel like you want to learn more and more about coding.

So What?

 I learned how to use coding, however I also learnt the codes to different things like left and right codes. Their all different, they are also how computer sites are made that we use in our everyday resources.

Now What?

       My goal next is to reach more harder levels. I would like to be able to reach level 20 before the end of tomorrow.

My Online Code DLO!

This presentation is about how you can be cyber smart online, when you are online you need to make sure that you don't give out factual information about yourself or any friends and family. However you must make sure that when you are online you can be trusted by an older adult or family member. Just remember that the online world is very dangerous so just be cyber smart online at home and also in school then nothing bad will happen.

I wonder project....

These are some of my ideas for a genius hour project I'm working on, for the past 2 weeks we have been brain storming all our ideas for when we go and work with May Road School! We are going to work with May Road School on a project called Genius hour it's when we take a plain old ordinary question and put it into an ungoogleable question! I am looking very forward to this, I am very excited to work with new students and see what different ideas we have and compare them into a genius hour project.

Explanation writing 18/08/14

In week 4 of term 3 our class has been focusing on learning how to write great explanations about how sound travels underwater. We have expanded our vocabulary in our inquiry topic ‘The Noisy Reef,’ and learnt about the structure of a great explanation piece. It was quite a challenge, but we really enjoyed watching clips to stimulate our ideas and having discussions about terms which were new to us.  

How humans can hear?

This is my diagram showing how us humans can hear, I personally think we catch the sound in a sound wave and it vibrates throughout our hears and we listen to the different pitches forming throughout our ears! Take a look and tell me what you think about my diagram!
